LESSON/TECHNIQUE OF THIS MONTH

The Thin Strip technique (also known as the Melissinia), which is the focus of this month’s lesson, is quite unique. It promotes engagement of selected portions of CENTRAL vision. It leverages a very narrow mono occluder and enables activation of the parts of one’s central vision that are affected by low vision (i.e. black/blind spots, or fogginess).

Once the correct occlusion is prepared for the eye, the technique is practiced in a manner similar to the Butterfly technique (aka the Melissa exercise). So, the Butterfly technique, in its short version, is also practiced as part of this lesson.

Enjoy!

ESTABLISH YOUR EYESIGHT PRACTICE ROUTINE

Daily practice of selected vision improvement techniques is an indispensable element of your vision improvement journey. In this course and leveraging the series of short videos you will be guided through steps that are necessary for establishing a routine that is effective, and that respects your time constraints. It all starts with a 1 minute routine. Click on the image to begin.

EYESIGHT TRAINING PROTOCOLS

To support your understanding of where each technique falls within the natural vision improvement process, see the MAP of vision techniques in the Routine Builder Class to guide your practice choices.

MINDFULNESS FOR BETTER SEEING

Our brain is responsible for about 90% of seeing. It interprets all the visual signals that our eyes send it. It is flexible, pliable and capable of miraculous adjustments. It reacts to our thoughts, emotions and the images it is exposed to. It does not differentiate between what is conscious or unconscious, what is real or imagined. It reacts to them equally. Please allow yourself the time to connect with your brain and to show it the seeing you desire.
