Presbyopia is a condition dreaded by all 40+ year olds. “Welcome to the party!”, or “Yup, it happens to everyone!”, people say when you pull out those reading glasses you bought at a local drug store the night before.

Good news, my friend. For most of us, there is a way out. In the 1970s the magnificent Dr. Ray Gottlieb created a chart to help his patients and he later used it to help himself out of this immensely common condition. I received the chart from Dr. Gottlieb himself, together with his explanation of how to use it. In this month’s lesson I will share my own adaptation of the instructions with you, following the core intent presented by Dr. Gottlieb and adding a little bit here and there to help you relax as you practice. So now, without further ado, let’s see!

Enjoy the lesson and may you regain up close vision in no time.
