The 360 Degree Sway is such a fantastic technique! It puts your awareness of space on overdrive, and once learned, it provides a wonderful way for the eyes to rest.
This months’ relaxation meditation is a bit different from what you have been used to, focused on the engagement of the connection between the eyes and the brain, on opening up the passage of information. It gives the stage to the optic nerve.
Given the technique requires the maximum visual awareness possible, the eye activation part of the lesson should certainly not be skipped.
Also, check out the little bonus video. Taken in Madrid, Spain (from my Airbnb apartment) to demonstrate not only the relative movement our eyes see, but also to pay tribute to the architectural craftsmenship of people who lived way before us. It warms my heart and pleases my eyes to have a chance to witness such beauty.
May you enjoy this month’s lesson and may your eyesight be boundless,
Irena

BONUS & TIPS
THE CITY (broad scale movement awareness):
Notice that as the camera moves to the right, the houses move to the right and the plant and the chairs move to the left. And vice versa.
THE MATCHES (small scale movement awareness):
Notice how the direction of relative movement of the matches changes depending on what match you are focusing on.
If you focus on the first one, the other two are moving in the direction of the movement of the camera.
If you focus on the last match, the other two are moving in the direction opposite to the movement of the camera.
If you focus on the middle one, then the far match is moving with the camera and the front match is moving in the opposite direction.
The topic of small scale movement awareness is covered towards the end of the lesson’s Q&A session.
